Asipto SRL in partnership with Edvina AB launches first training class program dedicated to Kamailio (OpenSER) and SIP Express Router (SER).

You can learn from Daniel-Constantin Mierla, co-founder and main developer of OpenSER/Kamailio, and Olle E. Johansson, main Asterisk SIP developer,  the mechanisms to build large VoIP platforms.

The first class is held in Stockholm, Sweden, April 20-24, 2009.

INRIA, French National Research Network in Computer Science is hosting an workshop dedicated to SIP/SIMPLE-XMPP Interoperability. The event aims to bring together people with large expertise in both protocols, interested in development, testing and deployment of SIP/SIMPLE-XMPP solutions.

ASIPTO is part of the organizing team, Daniel-Constantin Mierla leading also the XMPP interoperability development for OPENSER.

The workshop takes place between September 2 and 5, 2008, in Paris, France.

The Open Source week in Berlin has ended. During May 26 – 31, AsteriskTag and LinuxTag events took place at ICC/Messe Berlin.

I must say the AsteriskTag was a high quality event, with presentations from Nenad Corbic of Sangoma, Mark Spencer of Asterisk/Digium, Kevin Fleming of Astrerisk/Digium, Diana Cionoiu of Yate/NullTeam, Daniel-Constantin Mierla of OPENSER/ASIPTO.com, Olle E. From 28th of May was the LinuxTag exhibition and conference. I visited the first two days. The event was larger than last year, with same big share of Linux or BSD based distributions, good representation of Sun with OpenSolaris, booth for OpenOffice.org, Oracle brought their Linux operating system.

The event organized by ASIPTO and Voztelecom on the 6th of May gathered about 20 people from the Spanish VoIP community working with OPENSER and Asterisk.

Wine, beer, food and atmosphere were delighting, as usual in Spain. A nice opportunity to meet for first time people we know from the OPENSER project community like Inaki Baz Castillo, Alberto Sagredo, Victor Pascual Avilla, Pascual Maugeri, but also old friends Jesus, Gines, Elias. Asterisk project was strongly represented by Olle E. Johansson, Nacho Cabrera and Sergio Serrano.
